Half a century of mobility: from automotive to marine (1976–2026)
Founded in 1976 by Nantes-based designer Joël Brétécher, Stirling Design International has established itself as a leading name in transportation design. While the journey began in the automotive and recreational vehicle sectors, the agency later expanded into the maritime and rail sectors.
Now led by Thibaut Tincelin, the agency continues to champion Nantes’s design expertise, combining aesthetics, ergonomics, and technological innovation.
A unique retrospective exhibition
Hosted by L’École de design Nantes Atlantique, this temporary exhibition invites the public and professionals to explore the archives, sketches, and models of the agency’s most iconic projects. It offers a unique immersion into the evolution of industrial design over five decades.
