Low tech is another reflection on technology in order to develop useful, accessible and sustainable innovations. Pierre Alain participated in this exploration of all the oceans aboard the Nomade des Mers to collect this know-how.
This expedition brought together knowledge which is disseminated by the Low tech lab in Concarneau, a world reference in the field. Since then, he has created the Low Tech Base, an experimental low-tech micro village, located in the bay of Saint-Brieuc and his objective is to experiment with solutions for living and producing food according to these principles.
Pierre Alain, engineer by training at Icam, is a passionate maker and convinced that this path must be more present at a time of research into impact mitigation. He comes to school to share all his experiences.
