Claire Denelle, Alumni 2023, is a national finalist in the prestigious James Dyson Award competition thanks to her origami-inspired "ILO" low-tech cooker project. Using no electricity, this low-tech cooking pot, which revisits the Nordic pot, cooks while retaining heat, thereby saving energy.

'What invisible waste is greater than our energy losses? To put an end to our dependence on electricity, and to take action at our own level, I decided to answer this question: How can we limit energy consumption and losses in urban households? ' explains Claire.

The next step for the design student is to design a working prototype using the right material and the right industrial method in order to evaluate the production process. Claire also plans to create a collaborative database to gather tested recipes to facilitate the transition to this cooking method.
