Students invent a connected dressing room to simplify the lives of Alzheimer’s patients
Design to make everyday life easier for people with Alzheimer’s disease.
Ruth Ndouongo, a student at the school and her brother launched the “Tetra Closet” project to help patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease. Their project consists of developing a connected dressing room allowing patients to dress, put away and choose their clothes independently. This innovative project is presented as part of the prestigious international James Dyson Award competition.
❝ By deepening our understanding of mental illnesses, we became aware of the impact of Alzheimer's disease on daily life, which motivated us to make these frustrating situations more comfortable through innovative solutions ❞
Next step for the two students: establish a partnership with the Pépite des Pays de la Loire system to industrialize their invention.
